A radiant, high-sensitive harmonica player with a nomadic register
Diabolo is a radiant, high-sensitive harmonica player with a nomadic register. He played with such happiness on the sparkling songs of Higelin, the halftone melodies of Bashung, the iconic jazz of Archie Shepp or Didier Lockwood, the warm-blooded blues of Patricia Kaas and Manu Lanvin, the blue words of Christophe, the Celtic rock rhythms of Manau and Pat ‘O May. In 2018, Diabolo celebrates the seasons with Benny Joke at the Plume and Cabaret Sauvage circus and ignites the scenes as a soloist, on reggae and dubs in sound system.
Charismatic improviser and inspired composer, he modulates sound systems for adverts (Nestlé, Badoit, Renault, Migros), films (Sylvain George, Festival d’Avignon, Ballets de Béjart, Compagnie Pietra Galla).
Performer without any borders, he crosses improbable universes, hanging on a wire, ordering the dance of cranes or the descent of hot air balloons chanting fire and rockets of fireworks, alone on a makeshift raft on The Leman Lake or licked by the flames of “Neige de Feu”, an incantatory show by Lara Castiglioni.
