The\u00a0Quick Dismantling\u00a0System (QDS) concept<\/strong>, developed and patented by Yonberg, is based on the use of very rigid covers connected by three screws passing through the entire instrument which firmly clamps together the comb and the two reed-plates.<\/p>\n

To completely disassemble the instrument, simply unscrew the three \u201cbig\u201d M3 screws thanks to the screw driver included with harmonica for direct access to reeds for maintenance and adjustment.<\/p>\n

Reassembly in reverse direction is just as fast and easy as dismantling.<\/p>\n

Our D1 and D2 diatonic harmonicas are equipped with Gamma\u00ae<\/strong> reeds which are a new technology developed and patented by Yonberg. Completely made in France<\/strong>, these reeds are made in a stainless steel offering high performance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The registered specific shape of these reeds is very innovative<\/strong>. In fact, in comparison to traditional rectangular reeds fitted to all models on the market, Gamma\u00ae reeds are characterized by curvilinear longitudinal sides, associated with an enlarged triangular base.<\/p>\n

The unique design\u00ae<\/strong> of the Gamma\u00ae reeds as well as the very particular mechanical working procedure<\/strong> explain their exceptional durability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

One of the big advantages of the Yonberg harmonicas is their unique trapezoidal<\/strong> shape which allows a very natural<\/strong> grip. It avoids, in the dark, the risk of taking the instrument in the wrong direction. It also makes it much easier to hold the microphone in the palm of the hand.<\/p>\n

All edges are rounded and the mouthpiece is slightly curved for additional comfort on the corners of the mouth<\/strong>. The index finger fits perfectly<\/strong> into the grooved cover plate, allowing plenty of room to put the harmonica well into the mouth. Great for “Tongue Blocking” playing.<\/p>\n

The hourglass shaped<\/strong> channels accelerate the airflow at the middle of the channels and prevent air leakages along the longitudinal edges of the reeds.
