Born in Poitiers on April 9, 1975, Mathieu Péquériau stands out as a talented French harmonica player, washboardist and composer. Since 2013, he has enriched the collective The Celtic Social Club with his presence, playing alongside eminent musicians from the Breton and Scottish scenes, and thus contributing to a vibrant and authentic musical mix.

Mathieu has also been part of the Vicious Steel Fuel Band project since 2021 (video), which received the Cognac Blues prize in 2023. He also plays in the garage blues trio, The Blue Monkeys, who tour blues clubs and festivals (video).

Between 2011 and 2015, he was a creative force within the group Red Cardell, leaving his mark on the group’s music. At the same time, his extensive collaboration, both on stage and in the studio, with various artists such as Pierre Souchon, Ours, Nicolas Voulzy, Ben Ricour, Christine Authier, and groups like Don’t Forget My Breakfast, Orage Mécanique, L’ oranger, as well as with the innovative productions of the K Bress label, testifies to his versatility and his commitment to the world of music.
