Coraly Harp’s is a young 28-year-old harmonica player. Originally from Lyon, she discovered the harmonica as a child thanks to her grandfather. In 2017, she entered working life and decided to learn to play. She quickly became passionate about the “small instrument, easy to transport and inexpensive to start with”. Coraly Harp’s also appreciates the instrument for the warm sound it gives off and because it allows you to “express who you are, while hiding behind it”.
She took classes in Lyon and did various internships, notably with Vincent Bucher, Philippe Bruno, Pierre Capony, Jean-Marc Hénaux, Michel Herblin and Marko Balland. She had the opportunity to meet many artists on stage, such as Greg Zlap and Rachelle Plas.
In 2018, Coraly Harp’s met DC Blues, a professional harmonica player since the 80s. He decided to support the young artist in her musical project and thus became her mentor and then current coach manager. During that same year, Coraly Harp’s joined the group Derrière les fagots, with whom she participated in around ten concerts and the group Cow Comino Train which already has around forty concerts to its credit in 2024.
In 2019, she plays with the group Plooks and gave around twenty concerts as a duo or trio, including five with DC Blues.
She will be on the bill at the La-Roche-sur-Foron Bluegrass Festival during the summer of 2024.
