Harmoniciste homme jouant avec un harmonica orange

Patrick Prévost, a Life in Harmony with Music

Born in 1965, during a time of cultural effervescence, Patrick Prévost grew up to the rhythm of the yéyé movement, immersed in the voices of Françoise Hardy, Johnny Hallyday, and Charles Aznavour, already “en haut de l’affiche” (at the top of the bill). Meanwhile, the Beatles and Bob Dylan were revolutionizing the music scene, while Ennio Morricone composed “For a Few Dollars More”, a melody that would deeply shape his imagination and awaken in him a strong appreciation for harmony, poetry, and adventure.

From an early age, he explored various forms of artistic expression, from painting to writing, before inevitably being drawn back to his first passion: music. Captivated by lyrical songwriting combined with beautiful melodies, he trained with several teachers, first learning the flute, then the guitar, singing, and finally the harmonica. At Jazz Action Valence, he mastered this instrument and underwent comprehensive musical training. From that moment on, the harmonica became his inseparable companion, enriching every rhythm and enhancing every composition.

Driven by the energy of the stage and his connection with the audience, he developed an insatiable desire to learn. He then trained in M.A.O. (Computer-Assisted Music) under a distinguished professor, delving into the art of arrangement and music production, refining his precision in sound and ensemble harmony.

After performing with numerous musicians and exploring various styles, he founded “Harmo Trio”, a project blending his passion for music with his love for enchanting voices. Joined by a guitarist-songwriter and a singer with a romantic and captivating voice, he performed extensively, embracing both French chanson and Anglo-Saxon music.

But a new challenge is now on the horizon: accompanying a symphony orchestra in film music… A dream taking shape, note by note, harmony by harmony.
